A stunning telescopic image of Comet ISON as it approaches the Sun
If it does indeed put on its greatest display at this time, it will be tempting to link this the victims of the Boxing Day tsunami of 2004, that took place on this exact date, and which I believe was connected in some way with the Signs in the Sky that appeared during the turn of the millennium, and may foreshadow events to come:
“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken".
In addition, it is also worth considering that Ikeya-Seki - the greatest comet of the 20th century, and one of the brightest in human history, occurred in the year 1965 - which we have previously argued was a date which is inextricably linked to the beginning of the Great Apostasy, which we can see in retrospect has taken place in the wake of the sexual revolution that has been precipitated by the availability of the contraceptive pill, bringing about not only massive changes in human society, but also an unwillingness to believe in a Deity who has revealed Himself to His creation and the moral laws such a figure requests us to obey.

It will be interesting now to observe whether Comet ISON appears in the night sky as expected, or indeed if it disintegrates beforehand, since we are unequivocally told in the Bible that such astronoical omens herald import events which are to occur on earth, and as such, must interpret this as a sign sent from the Creator. Another interesting feature, which may or may not contribute to the appearance of ISON on earth, is the imminent reversal of the magnetic poles of the Sun, which scientists say will considerably accentuate events such as the aurora borealis. Whatever the case may be, this is certainly worth keeping an eye on....
